Dental Insurance 101: Delta Dental of KS/MO Workshop

***THIS WORKSHOP IS OPEN TO MANAGERS AND STAFF (Including Dentists and Specialists)***

This workshop has been approved for 2 Continuing Education Credits since Delta Dental of Kansas is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry.

Wanda Droge:

Wanda Droge worked for 12 years as the Financial Coordinator/Office Manager for a busy Topeka dental practice. She joined Delta Dental in the Professional Relations department in October of 2005. As the Director of Professional Relations, she is responsible for managing dentist recruitment and network maintenance in Kansas as well as making the jobs of dental insurance professionals easier. This includes providing timely communication through the quarterly BrushUp newsletter, periodic email blasts or letters, improving electronic services offered by Delta Dental of Kansas, and overseeing seminars and other training for members of the dental community.

Jenny Mendala-Torres:

Jennifer Mendala-Torres has 18 years of experience working in the dental field. She worked for 8 years as a Treatment and Financial Coordinator and Practice Manager before she joined Delta Dental of Kansas as a Senior Provider Relations Representative in 2007. As a Senior Provider Relations Representative she is responsible for recruitment and retention of providers and for developing and maintaining relationships with DDKS dental providers and staff. She provides support to DDKS dentist and office managers to improve their understanding of Delta Dental networks, products, polices, and online services. She educates and trains offices by conducting personal office visits, providing scheduled training sessions, conducting seminars/workshops and responding to request for assistance from providers. She loves working with talented dental professionals and uses her knowledge and experience to educate and service the dentists in her area.

Trimona Ray:

Trimona has worked for Delta Dental of Missouri as a Professional Relations Representative since 2017, and has worked in the dental industry for 5+ years.  Her primary role is to maintain a relationship and be an additional support system for all of her assigned offices.  Her goals are to ensure that these offices get their concerns addressed in a timely manner.  Trimona is also responsible for growing and sustaining the network and she says she does her best to educate dental offices so that they feel comfortable about the decision that they have made or will make.

Many offices rely on their Delta Dental of Kansas and Missouri Professional Relations representative to help answer questions for which they just cannot get answers from anywhere else. We plan to cover many of the common questions that we are asked. There will be time to ask questions at the end of the presentation. You may also submit questions prior to the meeting for possible inclusion in the presentation.
